This Privacy Policy governs the collection, use, and protection of personal information by SBC Tanzania Limited. (“we” or “us”) when users interact with our mobile application, SBC Stockist, SBC Retailer & SBC Rider apps, available on the Google Play Store. By using our apps, you consent to the practices described in this policy subject to laws prescribed under the Personal Data Protection Act, 2022 (‘the Act’) and The Personal Data Protection Regulation G.N 326/ 2023

COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Our mobile application is exclusively designed for use by company employees and customers who are authorized to access it using login information provided by the company. This login information is created based on personal information provided by employees to the company. We adhere strictly to local and international laws to protect the personal information of our employees.

TYPES OF DATA COLLECTED

Personal Information: Employees provide personal information to the company which is lawfully collected for a legitimate purpose that has been disclosed to the data subject matter, which is used to create their login credentials for the app.

Sales Order Information: The app collects sales order information entered by employees in the field to track and process sales orders.

Location Data: The app requests permission to access the device’s location to mark employee attendance when they are in the field office and to fulfill sales orders at designated outlets.

Camera: The app requests permission to access the device’s camera to enable employees to capture relevant visual information, such as product images or documents, as part of the sales order process.

USE OF COLLECTED INFORMATION

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

Sales Order Processing: Sales order information entered by employees is used for order management, tracking, and processing.

Employee Attendance: Location data is utilized to mark employee attendance when they are in the field office, ensuring accurate reporting and monitoring.

App Functionality: The camera permission is necessary to allow employees and market partners to capture visual data as part of the sales order process.

DATA SECURITY

We employ robust security measures to protect the personal information of our employees. This includes encryption, secure storage, access controls, and other industry-standard practices to prevent unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure of data.

THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES

Our app does not contain links or integrate with third-party websites or services, over which we have no control regarding privacy practices and SBC disclaim any liability arising therefrom or whatsoever.
